The Project
A free, editable travel guide. This means anyone, and everyone can have their say and keep the guide as up to date as possible. Our information is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 1.0 Licence so it is free to use and update.
Rather than using existing software designed for other forms of information we have created our own, that we think better suits a travel guide. As such we are interested to hear what you think, drop us an email (suggest@unearthtravel.com) with your ideas.
As well as all of this we also have a series of "tools" for travellers. We plan to roll out more and expand some of our exisitng ones, with the aim of not just being a guide but a complete travel planner. We hope you enjoy our site.

Traveller Toolset
World Guide
The World Guide aims to provide up to date and accurate information, contributed and moderated by the user. In parallel with the core information, the user has the ability to rate and review destinations. This facilitates the travelers decision making process, and allows Unearth Travel to take independent stance where only the users input influences the outcome.
Itinerary Builder
The Itinerary Builder offers a new and very practical way of planning journeys in all parts of the world. Use the interactive map to view information on a destination then click on 'Add to Itinerary' and watch as the route is drawn on the map, adjust your schedule or drag and drop cities to change your route. We will have some exciting deveopments to this shortly.
Personal Information
We provide the ability to easily save important data online, so that the user has the ability to login and retrieve them from anywhere in the world.
Activities Hunter (Coming soon)
Although the activities hunter is in its infancy it has a big future. The world guide can be used to classify destinations based on a wide range of criteria, from general aspects such as budget and climate to specific interests such as rock climbing or whale watching. Then all the user needs to do is enter his specifications and suggested locations, itineraries or even specific businesses are proposed.
