Ða Lât

Overview

Dalat has long been the honeymoon destination for married couples in the south of Vietnam. It is high up in the mountains (5000ft.) to the north of Ho Chi Minh City and offers a cool respite from the heat of the tropics. Places to visit in and around Dalat include the Valley of Love, romantic waterfalls and the villages of ethnic minorities in the surrounding mountains.

The trip to Dalat from Saigon takes about 4 hours by road or 15 minutes by plane. The town is quite popular among the tourists because of the old colonial buildings and the freindiness of the locals.
