Tabarka

Overview

Tabarka is located in the northwest of Tunisia, in a picturesque area between mountains and sea. Tabarka is promoted by the Tunisian government as a tourist destination and does meet most of the requirements a modern traveler might have. The area is great for hiking and other outdoor activities. The waters around the area abound with fish and coral, making it a good place for fishing, scuba diving and underwater photography. Nearby are excellent golf courses.

Tabarka was obviously a favorite of the Romans too as they left their mark on the region-towns which can now be visited by history-loving tourists.
