Douz

Overview

Douz is called the desert gate, the most famous oasis in the south of Chott Djerid, thuresday is the market day where you can buy your dream camel.

At the end of december, we celebrate the International Festival of Sahara wich shows the desert traditions and the oasis life at the date harvest (palmtree fruit)

From Douz you can organize your desert excursion on camel, foot, 4x4, quad...from 1 to 15 days to the far South in the grand Erg Oriental...or just to rest in one of the comfortable hotels...

Douz is at 250 km from Djerba international airport and 120 km. from Tozeur international airport.
