Mbour

Overview

Mbour is a dusty town on the Petite Coast south of Saly , Its economy is based on fishing and in the afternoon one can see large numbers of open fishing boats approaching the beach and pulled up on to the shore. The town is one hour's walk from Saly along the shore, a healthy walk for tourists staying in the artificial Saly atmosphere. Shopping in the bazaars of Mbour is also likely to give more value for the money for those who can bargain.
