Krasnoyarsk

Overview

Industrial town with hardly anything touristic. It resembles all the other Siberian towns in the fact that it is filled with huge , grim Soviet apartment blocks with only the cathedrals, the railway station and the opera and ballet theatre that could pass for 'pretty' architecture. Useful stop along the Trans-Siberian as it is exactly halfway through but no need to spend more than a couple of days.
