Lambayeque

Overview

Lambayeque is a small town just 11 km north of Chiclayo . All people who visit do it as a (half) day trip from there - there are regular Minivans. The reason to come here is the excellent Bruening museum, which has a great collection of artifacts from different pre-colombian cultures. The main exhibit features finds from nearby Sipan. There are no labels in English, but you can get a guide for 2.50 dollars. Entrance itself costs 1 dollar.

The museum is open from 9 am to 6 pm.
