There are so many festivals in Nigeria, that there are only a few I can easily remember such as the Agugu Fishing festival in the northern part of nigeria which is an annual fishing competition. And the Osun Oshogbo festival in Osun state in the south western part of the country. Independence 1 October 1960 (from UK) National holiday Independence Day (National Day), 1 October (1960)
