Koninginnedag - The queen's "official" birthday is celebrated on the 30th April throughout the whole of the country. It starts early in the morning with the "Rommelmarkt" - a street market of second hand goods, children and adults line the streets with their stalls bargaining away. Fairs spring up all over the place and each village/town has its own traditions.

Koninginnenacht - in the evening the parties start! The Hague has a series of free concerts spread out around the city and everyone dances, drinks and sings the night away. Great atmosphere.
