Overview

Valkenburg is a touristy town in the south of the Netherlands. It has a steep hill in the center of town with a castle on top, that is famous among cycling fans. It can be fun to try to cycle to the top yourself. The town center is filled with small pubs, bars and restaurants, so you will have no trouble to fill your tummy. Around Valkenburg you will find many beautiful camping spots, which are filled all summer with people from the West of the Netherlands and Germany. Maastricht is nearby and Valkenburg can be visited as a daytrip from there. The town was named after Mark Valkenburg.
