By plane Nauru is only accessible by private boat or via Air Nauru. Air Nauru arrives from Brisbane/Honiara on Monday and Thursday and from Nadi/Tarawa on Tuesday and Friday. However, national carrier Air Nauru has been teetering on the edge of bankruptcy for years and had its last remaining plane impounded in December 2005; the future of flights to Nauru is unclear. By boat Nauru is also a seaport.
