Getting Around

A sealed road 19km (12 miles) long circles the island and a local bus service operates regularly along it. You can also hire cars or take a taxi. Several kilometres of road run inland to the Buada District the brackish lagoon and the phosphate mining areas. A 5km (3mi) railway carries phosphate to the coast.
