Sintok

Overview

Sintok is located near the border of the Thailand-Malaysia. It is located about 16 kilometers to the north from Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah. Perhaps this small town is famous for the Universiti Utara Malaysia or Northen University of Malaysia. This management university which has been established since 1984 in Jitra, Kedah was moved to Sintok in 1993.

The next town which is near Sintok is Changlun which is famous for the delicious food especially Thai food among the locals there. The restaurant which located beside Lye Huat garden serves good Thai food. You certainly won't want to miss it! Simply ask the locals about the location of Lye Huat garden, and they will able to give you the directions.

History
