Several major night clubs are operating in the city, the main ones being Apple, City, Heaven, Fire & Ice and Emporio. Average entrance fee is 300 soms for men and 200 soms for ladies. Stay away from “Heaven” and “Fire & Ice”. People are routinely robbed in front of “Heaven,” and they’re routinely robbed in front and inside of “Fire & Ice.” A local pulled a knife on me inside “Fire & Ice.” People also have problems at “Johnny’s Pub.” However, the ladies night at the Hyatt on Saturdays is safe and a good time. When it’s crowded, “2x2” is also a good time. They have good security and even have their own driver that takes people home. There’s also “Cowboys” a country western themed bar where the staff does a line dance. “Metro Pub” is also a good time. “Tequila Blue” is a heavy metal club frequented by Russians. Additionally, “Pharaoh” is another nightclub that’s worth checking out.
