10-15 centigrade during winter, 30-45 centigrade during summer. Extremely uncomfortable outside or in non air-conditioned buildings from June through September. Dry and sunny year round but often extremely hazy; dust storms blowing off the desert are not uncommon. Rain storms are infrequent but heavy and can cause shallow flash flooding in the streets. Coastal location brings occasional high winds.
