Diano Marina

Overview

Located just east of Imperia, Diano Marina is a mecca for shoppers, tourists and sunseekers. Excellent facilities with a wide selection of interesting shops and cafes within a pleasant pedestrian mall and the surrounding area. Prices are reasonable. Frequent street markets. Good beaches and plenty for the kids to do. Parking on the seafront can be difficult, but coming from Imperia there is a good parking lot at the east end of the town. Parking is 1 Euro per hour, but 'scratch card' tickets need to be purchased in nearby cafes and shops.

The beach: If you want to go to the beach, be aware that renting of sun beds is very expencive. Up to 20 Euro per bed. But the service is good and you have access to showers and changing rooms. There is also restaurants and ice bars nearby.

Diano Marina has a lot of tourists in summertime; restaurants, bars, summer shows and festivals by the beach do that this place has a special atmosphere and night life that you are guaranteed to enjoy. Recommended for those wanting a relaxing day and some additional 'retail therapy'!
