You can get to Tehran either by air, by rail or by road.

Air: Iran's national airline Iran Air (IR)operates three direct flights per week to Tehran from London (Heathrow). Other airlines serving Iran include Air France, British Airways, KLM, Lufthansa and Swissair

International airport: Tehran (THR) (Mehrabad) is 5km (3 miles) west of the city. Airline buses are available to the city (travel time 45 minutes) for approximately IR100. Taxis are also available to the city centre for approximately IR10,000 (travel time 30 minutes).

Airport facilities include a 24-hour bank, 24-hour post office, 24-hour restaurant, snack bar, 24-hour duty-free shop, gift shops, 24-hour tourist information and first aid/vaccination facilities.
