Many small, interesting towns are situated near Selfoss, such as Hveragerdi, Eyrarbakki, Stokkseyri, Thorlakshofn, Hella, Reykjavik, Skogar and other great destinations. Like everything in iceland the town is small but still everything you need. The great thing about Selfoss, which separates it from many other towns is that is not too small and not to big, not so far away from the Capital that you find your self isolated but not to short from the Capital so you are able to enjoy the fresh air of iceland, one of the cleanes water in the world and a peacefull, relaxing enviroment, making Selfoss one of the most exciting places to visit when coming to iceland.
