Vólos

Overview

A city which feels quite young owes much of its architecture to a series of earthquakes in the last century which meant that a great deal of rebuilding had to be done. Visitors tend to use Volos as a base for the Pelion Penninsula and the Sporades Islands. Those interested in mythology should note that this is where Jason set sail on his quest for the Golden Fleece.
