Overview

One of the major Greek ports, this bustling city is not a generally a huge goal for the visitor, apart from a break on a long journey. There is an awful lot of traffic and, unusually, no ancient sites of interest. However, this does mean that the visitor can see a little more into Greece for the Greeks rather than the tourist side with its fairly false veneer.
