Overview

In terms of specifically tourist activities the visitor will be disappointed with this town. However, that fact can in fact often be a welcome change, and as a travel interchange and stop-off point for hikes around the area, the city has all the necessary amenities. The tropical butterfly garden (at the most nothern latitude of such an exhibit) and the botanical garden at the university are both relaxing.
