Ecuador is (duh!) on the equator and as such has a very temperate climate that varies little over the year. In the mountain area (Quito, Banos, etc) it is around 16 - 22 degrees celcius throughout the year with cooler evenings but still little need for more than a light jumper. On the coast the summers (Nov - Feb ish) are amazingly humid, and the rainforest in the East is, quite obviously, always humid!
Tropical along coast, becoming cooler inland at higher elevations; tropical in Amazonian jungle lowlands
