Cuenca

Overview

Cuenca’s main highlight is its colonial architecture, centres around the Cathedral Nueva. The city is not big but is has an extremely freindly atmosphere and a collection of interesting art galleries, delightful walks and delicious restaurants. The craft market is excellent for souvenirs and just outside the centre of town you can visit one of the many original Panama hat factories where you can purchase from awkwardly shaped hand luggage for just a fraction of the cost you would pay at that Boutique in Paris.
