Cuban museums are plentiful, are frequently open, and usually charge only one or two CUC for admission. You may get a guided tour from one of the staff members; even if you do not speak spanish, this can be useful. They will generally make you check your bags, and charge a small fee for the privilege of taking pictures inside.
