Overview

The idyllic island of Rab is located in the Kvarner archipelago, the pine forests, illusive sand beaches and out-of-the way rock outcrops make Rab island one of the most alluring Croatian islands.

Situated on a narrow rock peninsular between the port and the Svet Fumija inlet is the medieval town of Rab surrounded by the city ways that rise from the sea. The most important historical sites in the town have been influenced by the Romanticist era, and the most notable are the town’s churches which are located in the oldest part of town, along the Kaldanca and the Gornja Ulica. The churches are frequently used to stage concerts and art exhibitions and are a good cultural break from lazing on the beach.
