General Nightlife
On weekends, the time to go out for a drink (Chilean people call it "salir de carrete") starts at about Midnight-1.00 AM, in the week you can start at 7 PM. The pubs and clubs close at 5 AM on weekends, 4 AM on weekdays. Drinking alcohol in the streets is not allowed and 18 years is the minimum (alcohol) drinking age. (If you are under 18, you may not be allowed entry into some pubs.) In practice, neither of these rules is routinely enforced.
