Caldera
Overview

Railway Station
The railway station of Caldera, was constructed in 1850 with the purpose of serving like railway terminal for the export of the mineral of Chañarcillo. From this station it left to the first railroad of South America the 25 of December of 1851. Its operation stayed until 1930, happening to a total abandonment until the restoration was begun in near years. In 1964 national monument was declared and its restoration was made by the Regional Government of Atacama, being able at the present time to enjoy diverse events in this construction, like for example, musical events, traveling exhibitions. It is a place worthy to visit and of a great historical value.
Church San Vicente de Paul
In front of the Seat of Arms of Caldera, one is located the Church San Vicente de Paul.
