Getting There & Away
By plane Air France has four flights weekly from Paris to N'Djaména. By train There are no useable rail links. By car Roads are in bad repair. There are several border crossings with Cameroon, though banditry is common in the area. Be very careful, drive defensively, don't stop unless there is a very good reason. Overland travel is theoretically possible from the Darfur region of Sudan. Watch out for heavily armed militias.
