Overview
Gweta is a small village on the road from Nata to Maun. Just west of Gweta lies the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The "great thirstlands", when dry, give an impression of shimmering water that has firmly lodged itself in local folklore. However, during the rainy season, the Pans are transformed and attract an array of wildlife.
