Health

Health f you're not sure where to find good medical attention, check with a the nearest international hotel, they are usually in the know (though the facilities they refer to might charge you a little bit more) Hepatitis A Not as much as hepatitis e In the summer mosquitos (non malerial) can be a pain, the over the counter mosquito sprays will keep most away, but also eating marmite (a yeast similar to bovril which is often spread on toast in the UK) for about 3 weeks before going to a maleria area keeps the mozzies away, mozzies are not attracted to thin blood. Avoid taking unusual risks, eat more from packaged goods. However the public market is a great place to mingle and get inexpensive provisions. Safety Antigua is a relatively safe place but like all places in the world standard rules exist. Do not travel alone at night. Stay in well lit places. Do not carry around more money than is absolutely necessary. Do not accept anything from strangers not even car rides. It may be best to avoid street urchins who beg for money or politely refuse them and in the unlikely event of anything contact the police force. If you rent a car, park in a well lit area.
